My reply to my dear friend who asked me to contest elections 2012

Congress has kept Karunanidhi with them but what is he saying?? He says law of India shoud not prevail and that the senseless, heartless assassins of Rajivji be pardoned!! Shocking. I wish and prey that will Karunanidhi will have have same standadrd if one of his young family member is killed by a one insane person. It is time Karunanidhi and all such politicians who have connections with any such heartless groups be dumped. ........No one speaks out except Alok on such issues.

    • Alok Tholiya Thanks but u know at the time of elections psyche of voters changes. Some go to Matheran, others play card etc and avoid voting. And those who vote ...on community, language, personal interests ( builders, hoteliers, mafia, land sharks, creators of slums and unauthorized stalls etc etc? So who will vote for me?? And in present conditions u have to spend a fortune. And those who spend like that make 100 times more. Nither I can spend nor I wish to make thru social/ political activities. I won best Lions district President award but did not strive to beyond that, In District presidents elections there r some who spend lacs. I thought I can rather do some good activity with the money I will need to spend to contest election. So i cud not and did not rise beyond that. Now what I plan for next elections is make a monitoring body and take written commitment from candidates and then meet regularly and evalute and monitor the elected municipal corporator.

Annaji......Muslims, Balasaheb, Imam, Minorities, courts, farmers, poor, and all others .....

  1. Those saying Annaji in instigated by others is insulting Annaji, his intelligence, his sacrifice, his brevity, his concern of common men and love for motherland and all that he stand for. I am 57 and heavily obese. All my well wishers want me to give up the Kachories and ladoos I eat whole day. Can I? Did I? will I?
fasting, sacrifice, giving up,relinquishing, tyag, commitment , honesty etc are not easily adaptable virtues and last under instigation of others.
2, Some one said why not Bedi and Kejriwal start fasting and Anna withdraws. A. How many times Nehruji and his folks went on fast when Gandhiji did so??Instead Tiger should not have taken 9 days to support Annaji ( in the name of Marathi everyone was supported including Pratibha Patil but Annaji) . And support has come saying so and so shud go on fast and Anna shud withdraw. Instaed he should have said I am sending my son or grand son to join the fast atleast for a day to show real concern.

        3. Our election system is such that only persons with dubious and immoral and corrupt means and method win be it from any party. And that was proved when no party supported Annaji's Lokpal Bill as they have all been corrupt to the core them selves and specially BJP who has mastered the congress tricks of trade but at the cost of honesty and public image. Time has come when some honest disown their corrupt colleagues and form a new party or take over their own party. 30 MLA's have resigned as FIR was registered against Jagan and his late Father. Why as they r all corrupt and are aginst action on corrupt leaders. Why CBI and RAW ( the stooge of PM) have now taken action on Jagan ??? As he is out of congress. Why noone has resigned in favour of Anna?? As no one wants to loose grip over money spinning chair.
         4. Imam did good service to nation by giving call against andolan against corruption. The bold and patriotic Muslims which most of them are have come out against his divisive sermon. I am sure more and more good Muslims will come out in open , feel one with masses and remain in main stream. As citizens and Bhartiya they r equally affected by corruption, rude bureacrts, bad law and order etc etc, non development of nation, scarcity of water , power etc in 90% of India , poverty, inflation etc.. It is shocking what is keeping most of them quite. Aamir and Shabanaji have already extended the support. I am sure many others will.

        5. There are some who community who are at the helms of affair ( top officers ) and they r not coming out in favor of such bad condition prevailing as it is their gift to country. Justice Pande has come out openly. As he is not part of such sinners. Great. Will some more join him???? Justice Pande has also confirmed that there is a rampant corruption in Judiciary which we all have been saying and also some other Hon ex judges have said in past.

           6. We r in now or never state. And Annaji may sacrifice his life if he realizes that govt is only hood winking. And his martyardom will not go in waste as he also knows that it is do or die for nation. If this movement is crushed then it will be another 100 years of slavery for us.

           7. Divijay ISI stooge had sent his goondas out in streets of Delhi on bike. Police was asked to help  spoil image of peaceful agitation but media who is playing the best in decade role ignored same. We r aware that Sanjay Gandhi once tried to stage a drama to get public sentiments in his favor. Pl. do not fall in any tricks of Digvi and Kamina Kapil and alike.
Keep voice recorder when go for discussions with anyone , keep doing videos shoots for showing to world and supreme court how govt changes stand and how they try to malign such peaceful movement and good leaders.

Finally,
This is not a movement against a particular party but is against all scamsters. Congress being in rule we have to exert on them.
This movement is not against any community and all are welcome to join. Baba Ramdev inspite of not getting very warm reception has shade his ego ( shown he is true sanyasi and only after wrongs of govt  ) . He once again joined the andolan yesterday. All can and should.
This andolan mainly targets big sharks who have gulped and will gulp in 1000's of crore s and thus India, Indians specially poor, farmers, adivasises, laborer, villagers, constables, peons, clerks etc are worst affected lot of the backwardness of their villages, pathetic conditions in which they live, the badly managed schools and hospitals they have to use etc etc. They to must join enmasse if they want these 1000's of crore rupees to be utilized for their development and for betterment of their future generation.

Let us see how many non corrupt have maa ka dudh ..........

is this why Soniaji is in USA and opposing Jan Lok pal bill?????????

1. TATAs took 100 years to become billionaire, Ambanis took 50 years(after utilizing all its resources), where as Robert Vadra took less than 10 years to become fastest multi billionaire....

2. All newspapers are scared to discuss the story of Robert Vadra because of severe threat from Sonia Gandhi and Congress govt.

3. After Robert Vadra got married with Priyanka Gandhi, Robert's father committed suicide under mysterious circumstances, his brother found dead in his delhi residence and his sister found dead in mysterious car accident. These reports were not published in any Indian media.

4. He is having stakes in Malls in premier locations of India, he is having stakes in DLF IPL, and DLF itself. Men in Team Anna and crooks in Team Rahul

 Men in  Team Anna

Anna Hazare is a 74-year-old gentleman but hisenthusiasm, zeal and energy can put the youth in their 20s to shame.
His crusade against corruption has brought out the entire country [except the "cyskics" (cynics, skeptics and critics all rolled into one)] on the streets. While Anna Hazare remains the man of the moment, there's an entire dedicated team which works with him and whose members' full-time profession is activism. Then there are also dedicated people who remain behind the scenes and take care of the social media campaigning, technical stuff, logistics etc.
Let's take a look at the front-bench members of the Jan Lokpal movement:

Arvind Kejriwal

Recipient of the prestigious awarded Ramon Magsaysay Award for Emergent Leadership in 2006, Kejriwal has emerged as a true “youth icon” during the last few months. He was born in Hissar, Haryana in 1968, and graduated from IIT Kharagpur as a Mechanical engineer in 1989. Arvind Kejriwal was always concerned about corruption and the passivity of the people. After quitting his job with the Tata Steel, he took time off to work with the Missionaries of Charity and the Ramakrishna Mission in eastern and northeastern India. He was also instrumental in spreading awareness about the passing of the Right to Information (RTI) act.
In the ongoing movement for Jan Lokpal, Arvind is considered a key figure along with Anna Hazare. People who work with him sings songs in the praise of his intelligence, which, they say, is “razor-sharp”.
Awards and Honours:
2004: Ashoka Fellow, Civic Engagement.
2005: 'Satyendra Dubey Memorial Award', IIT Kanpur for his campaign for bringing transparency in Government.
2006: Ramon Magsaysay Award for Emergent Leadership.
2006: CNN-IBN, 'Indian of the Year' in Public Service.
2009: Distinguished Alumnus Award, IIT Kharagpur for Emergent Leadership.
2010: Policy Change Agent of the Year, Economic Times Corporate Excellence Award along with Aruna Roy.

Kiran Bedi

First Indian IPS officer, Kiran Bedi has always been known as a woman of substance and will power. A close associate of Anna, she has played an active role in the entire Jan Lokpal movement. She began her career as a Lecturer in Political Science (1970-72) at Khalsa College for Women, Amritsar. In July 1972, she joined the Indian Police Service. While in the police, she carried out several reforms. She also served as Director General of India's Bureau of Police Research and Development.
In 2007, she took voluntary retirement to undertake newer tasks in life. After retirement, Kiran Bedi launched a new website, www.saferindia.com which aimed at helping people whose complaints were not accepted by the local police. This project is undertaken by the non-profit, voluntary and non-government organization she founded, the India Vision Foundation. Kiran is a Ph.D. in Social Sciences from the Department of Social Sciences, Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi.
Awards and Honours:

Prashant Bhushan

Based in Noida, Prashant Bhushan (born 1956) is an Indian lawyer and social activist. He is the son of eminent lawyer Shanti Bhushan. In his career spanning 15 years he has worked on around 500 PILs (Public interest Litigation). He has been a rigorous campaigner of judicial reforms. He is a member of the committee constituted in April 2011 for the Jan Lokpal bill. He is said to be a man of steel who doesn't thinks twice before exposing the wrongdoings in the courts.
Bhushan was the member of the committee which drafted the Jan Lokpal Bill. He has been sharply critical of the government's version of the Lokpal calling it “ineffective” and “useless”.

Shanti Bhushan

Not many would know that the Lokpal Bill was the brainchild of Shanti Bhushan who conceived it while being the law minister in the Morarji Desai government in 1977. Bhushan was an active member of the Congress (O) party (different from the Indian National Congress) and later the Janata Party. He was a member of the Rajya Sabha from 14 July 1977 to 2 April 1980 and the Union Law minister in the Morarji Desai ministry from 1977 to 1979. He joined the Bhartiya Janata Party in 1980. In 1986, he resigned from BJP after the party acted against his advice over an election petition.
Along with his son, he has been actively involved in bringing judicial reforms. He fought (for his client) many legal cases against Indira Gandhi. Shanti Bhushan is the co-chairman of the of the joint committee constituted in April 2011 for the Jan Lokpal Bill.

Swami Agnivesh

Agnivesh is an Indian politician, self-titled Arya Samaj scholar, and social activist. He is best known for his work against bonded labour through the Bonded Labour Liberation Front, which he founded in 1981.In the late 60s, he joined the Arya Samaj and took “Sanyas” vows. In 2005, Agnivesh was part of a two week campaign against female foeticide that travelled across India. Agnivesh also argued at a conference on economic development and religion sponsored by the World Bank that people should be allowed full freedom of movement across borders through the elimination of all passports and immigration laws.
Swami Agnivesh has been closely associated with the Jan Lokpal movement and is often seen campaigning strongly for it. (MensXP.com)

The Green Thing......r v penny wise pound........??????Alok

Dear Shailesh,

I got some time today so I read this mail saved for last few days. Thanks for very good mail. THis mail proves that we r penny wise and pound foolish. It seems it is high time we have a relook on our present policy. Specially UNO and similar orgs must make some seriously useful guidelines to save earth.

Alok

The Green Thing

In the line at the store, the cashier told an older woman that she should bring her own grocery bags because plastic bags weren't good for the environment.

The woman apologized to him and explained, "We didn't have the green thing back in my day."
The clerk responded, "That's our problem today.  Your generation did not care enough to save our environment."
He was right -- our generation didn't have the green thing in its day.
Back then, we returned milk bottles, soda bottles and beer bottles to the store. The store sent them back to the plant to be washed and sterilized and refilled, so it could use the same bottles over and over.  So they really were recycled.
But we didn't have the green thing back in our day.
We walked up stairs, because we didn't have an escalator in every store and office building. We walked to the grocery store and didn't climb into a 300-horsepower machine every time we had to go two blocks.

But she was right. We didn't have the green thing in our day.

Back then, we washed the baby's diapers because we didn't have the throw-away kind.  We dried clothes on a line, not in an energy gobbling machine burning up 220 volts -- wind and solar power really did dry the clothes.  Kids got hand-me-down clothes from their brothers or sisters, not always brand-new clothing. But that old lady is right; we didn't have the green thing back in our day.

Back then, we had one TV, or radio, in the house -- not a TV in every room. And the TV had a small screen the size of a handkerchief (remember them?), not a screen the size of the state of Montana

In the kitchen, we blended and stirred by hand because we didn't have electric machines to do everything for us.

When we packaged a fragile item to send in the mail, we used a wadded up old newspaper to cushion it, not Styrofoam or plastic bubble wrap.

Back then, we didn't fire up an engine and burn gasoline just to cut the lawn. We used a push mower that ran on human power.  We exercised by working so we didn't need to go to a health club to run on treadmills that operate on electricity.

But she's right; we didn't have the green thing back then.

We drank from a fountain when we were thirsty instead of using a cup or a plastic bottle every time we had a drink of water.
We refilled writing pens with ink instead of buying a new pen, and we replaced the razor blades in a razor instead of throwing away the whole razor just because the blade got dull.

But we didn't have the green thing back then.

Back then, people took the streetcar or a bus and kids rode their bikes to school or walked instead of turning their moms into a 24-hour taxi service.
We had one electrical outlet in a room, not an entire bank of sockets to power a dozen appliances.  And we didn't need a computerized gadget to receive a signal beamed from satellites 2,000 miles out in space in order to find the nearest pizza joint.
But isn't it sad the current generation laments how wasteful we old folks were just because we didn't have the green thing back then?
Please forward this on to another selfish old person who needs a lesson in conservation from a smart mouthed young person who has been taught to blame everyone else for the consequences of their own actions.
